IMO Christian seems pretty trustworthy, but it’s not like I know him personally. After all, there’s nothing technically stopping them uploading an app to the store that’s different from the open source version. Unfortunately depending on how privacy conscious you are, and even though this is open source, you still very much have to trust the developer in what they say they are doing. Whilst the extension (and it’s open source so we can check) likely won’t read any of the information available other than the URL and AMP pages, it still needs to request permission for everything. So there’s no way to say “I just want these permissions but only when I’m on AMP sites”, because the extension is determining when it’s in AMP not the iOS permissions system. Whilst you do of course enter all your information on the real site and all, the way extensions permissions work is that they either see everything all the time, or nothing.
